In a medium mixing bowl beat egg slightly with a fork. Stir in the oats,
2 tablespoons catsup, dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Add ground beef; mix well. Shape mixture into four 3/4 inch-thick patties.
Place patties on an unheated rack in a broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat for 12 to 14 minutes or till well-done, turning once. Top with cheese; broil 1 minute more or till cheese is melted.

3/4 lb. lean ground beef
4 oz. reduced-fat mozzarella cheese, sliced
4 whole wheat buns or kaiser rolls, split and toasted
Lettuce leaves (optional)
Tomato slices (optional)
Catsup (optional)
