Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with nonstick baking spray with flour. Set aside 2. In a large bowl, beat butter and 1 cup sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition until mixture is smooth. 3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture in 3 batches, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
